Generational Trauma: The Effects On The Brain & Pathways To Healing

Generational trauma is a complex phenomenon that involves the passing down of trauma's effects through generations, particularly within families or communities that have faced significant adversities. This type of trauma can manifest in various ways, influencing emotional, psychological, and social functioning. Its impacts are often subtle yet profound, leading to cycles of distress that affect not only individuals but entire family systems.

This workshop aims to empower mental health professionals with the tools and insights necessary to facilitate the healing process. Participants will explore methodologies for addressing generational trauma, recognizing its signs, and implementing effective strategies for individual and collective healing. By fostering a deeper understanding of this important issue, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to breaking the cycles of trauma and promoting resilience in affected communities.
